Episode 8 :
The remaining models talk about double elimination. We can see how fragile Marvin is. He misses Jeremy and Kanani until he ... cries. He is also scared that he almost missed Phil too. He is too sensitive, even the girls do not cry at all.
They are back to the house. Jourdan feels good and bad at the same time when she sees her best photo. Renee likes Jourdan doing great because she will feel even better when she beats Jourdan. In your dream, Renee ! Jeremy left a note for Marvin. Marvin cries ... again.
The models go to Melrose Avenue for meeting Kelly and challenge. The challenge is divided into two parts. First, they have to answer fashion quiz to get credits. After that, they have to spend their credit to create a killer look. The winner of the challenge will get $2,000 credit from myeveryneed.com. Kelly asks them one more thing. In order to create a killer look, they have to be a blank canvas aka strip down in their undies only. Thank god it's Kelly, not bryanboy or Perez Hilton.
During the quiz, some of them just guess. Some of them are lucky, like Marvin or very unlucky, like Phil who only gets $25. Renee questions Cory for not knowing much about fashion industry because he is gay. It is so stereotypical and prejudice, but I thought Cory would nail it too. Renee answers all the questions correctly. She is the only who gets $250. Jourdan gets $225, Chris and Jiana get $175, Nina gets $150. Cory, Don and Marvin gets $125.
The judge for the challenge is celebrity stylist, Monica Rose. Most of them get mixed reviews. Cory looks messed up in his purple V neck and too tight pants. Kelly does not like Marvin rolled his pants, then Chris who has not got his turn yet unrolls his pants. Phil buys woman's T-shirt and leggings. He looks messed. Don is kind of flirt with Monica and it works ! He wins the challenge. He also gets an additional prize to get ice cream and pick guy and girl to be with him. He picks Marvin and Renee.

Jiana desperates once again for having lowest score in the challenge. She sinks slowly but sure. Marvin feels that is unfair that Chris gets 7, while he gets 6. There is verbal fight between both of them.
The models go to Lanark Art Gallery where Tyra exhibits "The Supermodel Tyra Untouched in Black & White". They will have a photoshoot with the same photographer who shoots Tyra, Udo. They are asked to create a living photos (with Flixel, absolutely) with paint splashed to them.
Jourdan, Don and Cory nail the photoshoot, while Chris struggles in the beginning. However, he is succeed to overcome the challenge. Marvin struggles with the splash of the paint. Renee poses elegantly and beautifully, but I am not in the same page with Johnny Wujek. Jiana looks shocked, death and awkward. She does not know her angle. Nina does great and Johnny likes it. Phil gets a clean cut before photoshoot, but he plays it too safe during the photoshoot.
They are back to the house. Chris directly goes to the girls' bathroom to shower. It irritates the girls and reminds Jourdan to her ex-husband. Marvin cries again ... and again. He is scared to lose people who care to him, in this case Don and Phil.

I was super excited to see this week's Flixel because I expect the splash gonna be WOW. Unfortunately, it is not as good as I expected. It is just another flixel. It is also super weird to see a huge decrease in social media score. Most of them got a minimum score of 7, now the highest score is only 7.5. Jourdan got 9 with nail photoshoot, but she only gets 7.5 for this stunning photo. It seems that we are going back to Cycle 19's score where 7 is a miracle. I also feel that the elimination is too "real" to be true, like Kanani-Phil and Jiana-Phil. Their score are separated only with 0.1 or 0.2. The judges seems to be balancing each other and make it as if it is depended on social media score which I doubt it too.
It is also surprising to see Jiana get 3.9. I know her photo this week is very weak, but it is a huge flop from the girl who used to be in the top of the pack. She even gained the first 9 in Top Model history. She is kind of losing her chance to comeback in my opinion. What do you think ? Leave your comment below. i dont think renee can ever do good in your eyes, you just dont like her
ReplyDeleteHmm... You can say that. But for me, I haven't seen her photo that make me Wow. I fell the same way with Kiara. She went too far IMO. I agreed with most of the fan votes about Kiara, but I found her Dream Come True shot great. I didn't make any excuse for saying this, but I think everyone can have their own opinion. I am very opened for a short discussion and thanks for not making a "controversy" here. And also, thanks for coming.
