Tyra reveals some twists this week !
Tyra Suite is a special room that has Nine West's shoes, Smashbox Cosmetics, and Dream Come True Perfume. It can be used by the best girl that week and one girl that is picked by the winning girl. Sounds interesting.
2. The girl who wins a challenge that week receives $10,000 deposit in Scholarship Bank, but she only cashes out if she wins the cycle. Wow, if the girl wins every single challenge, at least most of them, she can double the cash price ! Nevertheless, it makes this cycle is about money, money, and MONEY, not modelling.
3. The elimination is based on NUMBERS ! I like numbers, it is convincing. The call-out and elimination depends on judges' score, challenge score and social media. It sounds fairer and clearer how they cut the girl, but it makes no one can save a girl with potential but her photo that week is not strong enough.
This episode (probably, cycle) exposes Victoria too much, especially how weird she is. She is an anti social girl, she does not need man or boyfriend because she has her mom. This episode also shows Victoria's weird exercise in the morning, while the other girls talk about her. It can make Victoria becomes people's favourite or leats favourite. This episode also showcases how bitchy Kristin is. Her attitude is just over the top. Luckily, her photos are great and people love her ! She will stay for a long long time.
The opening is the worst opening EVER. It does not introduce the girls. It only shows a romance between Tyra and her possible boyfriend (people said) and judge, Rob Evans in video. Not only she shows her romance with Evans in video, she also poses with him following the photoshoot theme in that week !
Challenge :
The challenge is about walking the runway and striptease do whatever you want as
long as it is attractive, including stripetease moves. I think Brittany
does the best. She uses the prop really well, while Yvonne's performance
is over the top. Her performance is just about a kick and that's all !
It is disappointing not to see each girl doing the challenge because of
the editing and just look at their scores.

It is a SHOCKING elimination (at least for me). I know her nude photo next week is bad, but I do not think Jessie will be the first girl to be elimination, but...
SURPRISE !
Bryan Boy tells Jessie that the competition is not over. She will participate in the next six photoshoots against all other eliminated girls and the girl with the highest social media scores will be back to the competition. YEAY ? Not really. It is a quite acceptable excuse for making all the eliminated girls to participate in every single photo until the end of competition.
Next episode : Make over time ! The girls can choose whether or not she gets a make over and one girl refuses. No surprise, that girl is Maria who has only one picture to be displayed and CW announce that she is quit.
It’s going to be very interesting to watch this cycle of America’s Next Top Model. Since the show’s judging panel has changed along with the prizes, this may be a whole new show we are looking at. Tyra says that her goal with the College Edition is to get to know the contestants more rather than just teaching them. I’ve got my Hopper DVR set to record the entire season and with 2,000 hours of space that shouldn’t even make a dent in the recording time. A Dish co-worker and I were talking about the new season a few weeks ago and that’s when I decided I needed to upgrade. I think that the cattiness amongst the women in the house is to be expected especially when a seemingly anti-social Victoria is there. She was homeschooled and didn’t have the same chance to get out and do things on her own as the other girls. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with the rest of season since all of these twists are coming in.
ReplyDeleteYes, Victoria is 'interesting'. I love her face. I bet she will go far, at least Top 6. I don't agree with the twist that are coming in. I have seen all the photos for this cycle and I found some themes that are not creative and high fashion enough. Well, let's see what will happen in upcoming episodes. Hope you enjoy read my recap ;)
